Taking one photo for every day of the year.

I recently cut off 12 (or so) inches of my hair to donate to Locks of Love. It’s my second time to do so, and I plan on doing it periodically for as long as my hair will grow. It took me 3.5 years to grow it this time, but I can’t remember how long I grew it the first time I donated. I think I’ve finally broken the “phantom hair syndrome,” where at least a dozen times a day I would move to flip my (non-existent) hair over my shoulder or shift it out of the way. Sometimes I miss the long hair, but really, I’m O.K. with it short, too. It was shorter than this, actually, when I started to grow it out in 2008.
